    1. The cuckoo goes away from this place in the late harvest, and comes back in spring, when the days are fine and long. This wild bird likes a warm country for the winter.
    2. The crow is often times distructive to the farmer. They destroy the wheat when it is coming up. They also pull early potatoes. They build their nest where there are woods or plantations. There is a rookery of crows in Danesfort and another in Ballynagar.
    3. The water hen comes to this place during the month of December. She builds her nest on the bank of some river.When the young ones are hatched she catches them and throws them out in the river and makes them swim.
    4. The crane builds her nest in a heronary. She hatches with her legs out of the nest. When the young ones are hatched she throws the out and she doesn't care
