  1. Churning
    1. We have a church at home. My mother churns twice a week. It is a small churn that we have. We never sell any butter although we keep three cows.
    2. The way you would know when the milk would be churned is the handle would get hard to twist.
    3. Long ago the people used to church in bottles. The churns used long ago were classed dash churns. Some people have dash churns all the time.
    4. If any person came in while you would be churning they would help. Some people say that if they didn't you would have no butter.
