  1. 1. There are a lot of festival kept up around this locality. On St. Bridget's day people tack a little cross up to the ceiling. They call it "the Brideóg".
    2. Lady day is another day that people have a custom of coming to the holy well and performing. They put a little offering in a box. They also tie a piece of a rag to a branch.
    3. On St. John's Eve a big fire is lighted, generally at some crossroads. It is to honour St. John. Everybody gives a little turf and all the boys gather sticks. When it is time to go home everybody gets a coal and bring it home.
    4. On "May Day" we put egg shells on a May pole and stick it down in the ground.
    Hollow'Een the first of November is a great night for pancakes. People put a ring in the cake when making it, and
