- In a village called Ballinlass there is a lough called 'Lougheen na Coillre' in which you can cure warts or conditions if you go to this lough before sunrise and wash the wart in the water. The water will rot the wart and it will fall off after a time. The lough is still there. Another cure for a wart is if you were milking and to milk a little new milk onto the wart for eleven days.
