  2. Maremades.
There was a marmade in chashenny long ago, and she was seen by a man called Patrick Island, and he followed her, but she made away, and got into the sea. A while after that a man was drowned from the Isle of Loagh.
About seven or eight years ago there was a maremade seen at Polan, and she was seen on a rock combing her hair. The people were all waiting for something to happen, and a while after that there were three people drowned in Polan, so that was a sure sign that maremades come before misfortune.
