    Nuair a bhí Naomh Colmcille i na chomhnuidhe ar an Bhíofán bhí sé an mhór le fear ar an Bhaile Árd.
    Thigeadh sé ag amharc air go minic. Shil an bhean go rabh Colmcille ag cur an fear amugha agus d'amharc sí amac agus chonnaic sí Colmcille ag teacht. "Gabh síos i luighe thusa agus leig ort go bhfuil tú tinn" ar sa sise. Chuaidh an fear síos i luighe agus tháinig Colmcille isteach.
    "Cá bhfuil an fear indiu? arsa seisean. "Tá sé tinn" ar sise "Bhal" arsa Naomh Colmcille "Má tá sé tinn go rabh sé slán agus muna bhfuil sé tinn go bhfaghaidh sé bás."
    Annsin dimthigh sé amac agus chuaidh an bhean síos go ninnseochadh sí an rud a dubhairt Colmcille do'n fhear. Bhí an fear i na luighe sa leabaidh agus é marbh.
