    another attempt made to till the fort.
    Another story of told of how a cow belonging to a poor widow womana named Kitty Hannon died. It was believed that the fairies brought the cow. So strong was this belief that the poor woman drove the calf to fort every night for the cow to feed it. An old man living in the vicinity of the fort said one night he saw the cow grazing on the top of the fort and the calf beside her sucking milk from her teats.
