  1. The Augustinian Monastery in Tipperary was built in the 13th century. It was built by the Normans and they gave it to the Augustinians and they held it for three centuries and it was given to William Ryan in 1651. He held it until the time of Cromwell when it was taken from him and given to Eramus Smyth. There is nothing to be seen now only an archway. It consisted of a graveyard, a dormitory, a chapter house and some land.

  2. It is situated about ten miles from the school. It is a limestone rock which is about three hundred feet high. This is how it was made. One day the school met Saint Patrick on the Slieve Bloom mountains. St. Patrick said to the devil that the ground they were standing on would one day be covered with many buildings. St. Patrick's words came true. One day the devil was following an angel and he took a bite out of the mountain
