- Sgneigh is a wild bleak looking heathery hill, overlooking the road from Glenfarne to Kiltyclogher.
One day a man was coming home from his work. He was coming down the path which he frequented every day, when he came as far as a big tree, at the foot of which he beheld a small man sitting. The little man asked him was he rich or would he like to be rich. The man said he would like to be rich, and he asked the little fairy to make him rich.
The little man said there was a crock of gold under the tree, but that there was a great hound guarding it. The man said he would try to get the treasure in any case. The next day the man came with a spade, and an axe, and he cut and dug for a few days.
Another day he was digging for about an hour, when he saw something like the top of a crock. He was overjoyed thinking of his rich future. He never(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
