  1. It is an old saying that if any neighbour comes in while you are churning and go again without taking the dash he will bring away the butter with him. This is believed still. It is believed also there were people who could bring back the butter again by putting an iron into the fire and the person that brought the butter came to the door and he was let in, so in this way the butter was brought back
