Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Our farm is situated in the townland of Kilnacreeva in the parish of Denn, in the County of Cavan and in the barony of Clonmahon. There are twenty four fields on our farm.
Bran's Acre: The reason it is called Bran's acre is, because long ago there lived a man named Brennan and he had an acre of land there.
The Golden-Rock: The reason it is called the Golden Rock is, because it was thought long ago that there was a crock of gold hidden there.
Clar: The reason it is called Clar is, because it is a big level field.
Flax Hole Field: The reason it is called flax hole is because some time ago there grew flax in it.
The Whinny Field: The reason it is called that is because it is covered with whins.
