- The local fairs are held in the towns. No one in this district remember fairs to be held at crossroads or at farmer's houses. There are no belief's about fairs held in the neighbourhood or on forts.
The town fair is held in the streets as there as there is no special fair place. Toll is not paid on cattle sold, but it was long ago. It was paid to the owner of the place and it was sixpence for a cow, horse, or a cart of pigs. A person knows when a bargain is made by striking hands.
When an animal is sold, some of the people clip the hair at the side with scisserors, and more puts on paint called keel.
The greatest fairs of the year are held on the fourteen of May and the 12th of November. Those days are the greatest fair days of the year because they are the two hiring fair days of the year. There are no special fairs held for the sale of sheep or horses.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
