  1. You Catholics of Erin's Isle attend unto my call
Until you hear of Europe's rise and Orangemen's downfall
If you were at Cavan meeting it's there you would have seen
Some thousands of our Irish boys, that boldly wore the Green.
    II
To see them gathered on that day it was a glorious sight
Both young and old assembled there to speak for tenant's rights
Our noble Clergy did their best....... was brave.
They said "we'll gain it yet my boys" or fill all martyrs' graves
    III
Going down through Cavan town we marched in grand array
We hoisted our banners to the air and played "St Patrick's Day"
Our drums did beat, our fifes did plog, most glorious to be seen
And its coming to the day my boys we'll boldly wear the Green
    IV
Here's to our noble pastor, brave Father Mick I mean
From Keshel town to Kilnacrott he marched us in one train
We went on drill from Ardkill Hill without either sword or shield
Which caused him great rejouement boys when first we to the field.
    V
And like wise Father Reilly, long may be live and reign
Over his worthy people in the parish of Drumlane
He was the man declared the truth, those tenants did him fear
