   These people had such hardy feet, we heard that they could walk on a whinnie ditch.
   Corns, heated feet, and sweated feet were not known of that time, which people are complaining of now and a cure for same would be a great favor.
   There are two shoemakers in our district. The names are Pat Lee, Lattagloghan, and Pat Lee, Crsskeys , but they have made no boots for the last fifteen years. The high cost of material left them idle as boots can be bought cheaper in the factory.
   Before that time they made a good living on shoemaking. Now they only repair worn boots.
   The old saying is that "nobody knows where the boot hurts him so well as the person who wears it".
   It is not lucky to throw out water at night that the feet have been washed in, and, if it has to be thrown out, it should be done while saying "dirty" water three times while throwing it out.
