    1) The local people believe it is a sign of rain when there is a misty cap on the mountain. It is also a sign of wet when there is a ring round the moon or when the sun is clouded another sign of wet weather is when the rain-bow rises in the morning is a fishmans warning.
    A rainbow at night is a sailors warning.
    2) When the wind is blowing from the North it is a sign of frost.
    3) When the wind is blowing from the south it is sign of rain.
    4) The wind from the East is a sign of snow.
    5) When the crows toss about in high wind there is a storm at hand.
    6) When the birds fly low it is also a sign of strom.
