    The cure for the whooping cough is,
    If you a briar growing across from one side to the other side, Then get the person who has the whooping cough and put them in blankets and roll them under the briar and they will get better.
    The cure for a pain in your-ear is, to put a few drops of olive-oil in a little pice of cotton-woll and place it in your-ear.
    The cure for the measels is for the Child's god-Father or god-Mother to tie a red ribbon round the childs neck.
