  1. Here is a list of our farm and domestic animals :- a cow, a goat, a calf, a pig, about two dozen chickens a turkey a dog and a cat.
    The cow is known as "Bessie" and if she is called she comes for "Bessie".
    When people are driving cows they say "therish, Therish" or "Che, Che".
    When people call calves they say "Suck Suck Suck".
    The cow house is a rather small house. It has an zinc roof and a wooden door. In the door there is a little window through which to give air to the cow.
    There are two parts in the cow house and the little calf stays in one.
    The cow is tied a stake.
    There is a rope tied to the stake and this is then put around her head and neck.
    Cows are never tied round the legs but goats are always tied that way when they are loose in
