    When a cow is sick a St. Brigids cross is sometimes hung in the cow-house this is suppose to bring good luck to the sick animal.
    The call for hens is "chuck chuck". The call for chickens is "chick" or "birdie". The call for turkeys is "pea pea pea"
    It is said if hatching eggs are set on any feast days that all the birds will come out.
