Sometime ago people who had the art of doing this. The used to go around on a may morning before the sun would rise. They would go to the pasture field where the cows were grazing and pick up the dirt that squirts up between the cows hoves and put it into the can.
Then they would go round and milk a drop from each cow. By performing tricks like this they used to think that they would have an abundance of butter for that coming year.
Some people raises and objection against giving away milk on a may day. Some more say it is not lucky to throw out the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
