- There is only one forge in three or four surrounding districts The name of the smith is Thomas Dufficy. His people were smiths for generations back. The forge is situated near a cross roads and a stream.
The bellows is a big egg shaped one. It is made of leather. It is in a little hall like place behind the fire. The bellows is worked by pushing a handle up and down. This pulls the top and bottom together thus forcing the air out of it and blowing the fire.
