    the side wall. Nearly all the front of the chimney was made of clay, and wattles.
    Some of the houses in olden times had no glass for the windows. They used have shutters in them. In the day time they used open the shutters, and let in the light. In the night time they used close them.
    The floors in the old houses were made of clay and some of the houses even yet are made of clay.
    Turf and wood was mostly used for burning in olden times. Rushlights were used for giving light in of times.
