  1. In the year 1916 a girl was standing on the bank of a river. A shot was fired close by and she fell in and was drowned. In the year 1920 in the district of Tully the members of a family were out visiting. They left the fire lighting. It was a thatched house and the thatch outside took fire. A man living next door tried to save the house. He got badly burnt himself. The man was taken to Hospital and he died four days after. About fourteen years ago a man was coming home from Mitchelstown in a horse and cart. He had a gallon of paraffin oil in the cart. There was not a cork on the gallon and the oil was spattering around the cart. He lighted a cigrette and threw the lighted match on the cart. There was hay in the cart and the hay took fire. The man threw himself out on the dyke of the road. His clothes were on fire. His body was all burned. He was taken home and the doctor was sent for immediately. He gave him something to ease the pains. He got poisoned in the wounds and he died four after.
