  1. It is about a hundred years since clogs were worn. Clogs were partly made of timber, iron and leather. When the people used wash their feet they used keep the water until all the family were in. If they were not all in a red cinder was put in the water until the family were in. It is unlucky to keep the water in the house too long. The person who used thewater should also throw it out.
