  1. (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)
was very fond of card-playing. He stopped out very late playing and every night something appeared to him.
One night it appeared to him in the shape of a turkey cock. He kicked it out of his way but it turned on him and beat him black and blue in the face.
He was found next morning and was brought home and put to bed.
He died from the effects of the beating.

  2. My teacher gave this story.
One night as Peter McKiernan and three other men were coming off their ceilidhe a stone was thrown out on the road before them.
It was the road between Drumgowna School and Cloone and at that time there was a very high fence each side of the road.
The stone was thrown out over the fence and the four men were not able to lift it.
