    Wednesday the best day of all,
    Thursday for loses,
    Friday for crosses, and
    Saturday no day at all.
    Here is also another poem about the day a child is born.
    Monday's child is fair of face,
    Tuesday's child is full of grace,
    Wednesday's child is loving and giving, and
    Thursday's child works hard for a living,
    Friday's child is full of woe, and
    Saturday's child has far to go, but the child that is born on the Sabbath day is bright and good merry and gay.

  2. People say that it is unlucky to throw out ashes, water or any refuse of the house on New Year's Day. If anybody does it he will be throwing out things all the year round.
