  2. Long ago strange animals were often seen in Keeldra lough.
    A man named Michael Heatherton was up very early one morning and he looked down towards Keeldra Lough and he saw a strange animal eating grass at the brink of it. He knew it was a young horse. He started down towards him and tried to catch him but when he was about to catch him he ran into the Lough.
    A young horse was often seen eating grass in the fields along the Lough. When the mare wanted him she would neigh.
