  1. On Awakening:
God I offer thee my sight and keep it from all evil sights.
    When getting out of bed:
Dear God, help me to walk in thy footsteps when preparing for work. Dear God, do not let my work fail, as those did'st not let thine own work fail.
    On lighting a lamp:
God give us the light and glory of heaven when we die. Amen.
Thank God for the grace to save my soul. Amen.
    On going to bed:
Loving God, let me have a happy sleep, and I am heavenly sorry for having put thorns in thy sacred head, or any wound in thy sacred hands or feet. Amen.
