  1. Mary Ann Carrens from Annaghkeenty made dolls from turnips and from potatoes. First she cut out the head and painted it, then she made the body. Sometimes she sold these dolls.

  2. Boys long ago, made flutes from Fuaráns which they got growing alongside drains or rivers. They cut a piece of Fuarán about one foot and half in length. They put the holes in with a hot iron.
