About one hundred and fifty years ago the people used wooden plates called platters and wooden mugs called noggins. There are still wooden eggstands in Mrs. Fitzpatrick's, Laheen. Keshcarrigan.

Barrel and churn maker.
Frank Gilheaney of Lisconnor was a famed barrel and churn maker.
Basket Maker.
James Beattie of Leitrim was a famed basket maker. He used to get red sallies and boil them. Then he used to peel them and split them and weave them into the shape of a basket.
