    that he had one chance of saving her from the fairies. She told him that they would be changing to another place and that they would have to through a certain gap. If he could be there and and hit her with his right shoe she would be save from the fairies for ever. The man did as he was told and as he waited at the gap he heard horses coming towards him. Then he saw his wife riding on a coal black horse and he then took off his right shoe and threw it at her. He struck her on the back and she fell off the horse but as she did one of the fairies struck her in the eye with a whip and he knocked it out of her head. The woman went home with her husband and she lived a long happy life after.
