   There was once a boy in Castlefrench and he was very fond of playing cards. One night there was to be a game of cards in a neighbours house and so the boy and his companions went there. The boy won most of the games and so he went home joyfully. The boy had to cross a style on his way home and as he crossed the style there was a man with a table and a pack of cards the other side. This man asked the boy to have a game of cards. The boy said he would so the two men began to play. This man was the Devil himself but the boy did not
