    1. Gosthune:-
    An herb. It cures boils. It looks like a nettle. Grows about 2 feet high. The leaf is warmed.
    Yarrow.
    Is used for rheumatism. A green herb with a white top. It grows to a height of about six inches. It is stewed in hot water for about five minutes. It is cooled and then drunk.
    Chick-weed
    Is used for curing warts. A weed with a long stalk. When you break the stalk a kind of milk comes out. This milk is put on the wart which is then pricked with a pin to let the milk in.
    Long ago people used rub a snail on their warts - then they hung the snail on a thorn bush. While the snail was rotting the warts would disappear. If you had a sty in your eye to let it go with a gooseberry thorn would cure it.
    People used drink the juice of dandelions as a cure for a bad liver. Fox's tongue was used for the same purpose.
