  2. Philip Doherty and his wife Biddy lived 70 years ago at Castletown with a family of 9 children and they were very poor. Philip worked in Cunninghams of Castletown for very small wages.
    One day when poor Biddy was sitting nursing the baby and wondering how she would make the small taste of meal that she had in the bin go round all the family for supper, when to her surprise she looked up and saw a little woman standing beside her looking for help.
