    old custom continued for a long time. But an old rhyme said: "If human eye shall ever spy, if human ear should ever hear, the burial of the Cantillons must cease." It happened one time that a widow's only son died and when the people went away she stayed there after them. During the night she heard a voice saying that the burial of the Cantillons would cease. So the old custom was discontinued.
