  1. There were many landlords in this country. There was a land lord in this parish, and his name was Crosbie. He had a fine castle and he had a lot of land. The people had to pay him rents and if they did not he would put them out of their house, and give it to any one he liked. When he went away he sold his castle to Jerry Leen. All the lands of the parish belonged to him and for that reason the tenant had to pay him rent every year for the land. They
