    To the north of ballyheigue in a place called Glendshillon there is a holy well called St Brigid's well. St Brigid lived there in a convent with her nuns long ago. One night a ship came in and the crew went to the convent to kill the nuns.
    The nuns prayed to God for help, and as they did so the robbers were struck blind. The nuns took pity on them, and they told the robbers to bathe their eyes in the
