  1. Before Glenderry school was built there was a school in Mick Hare's field. Parts of the ruins of it are still to be seen and the other school was in Patrick Gaynor's cow-houses. The hearth of it is still there and the fire place.
    Myles McGrath was a school master there, and Mrs Halloran was a school mistress there then.
    The school in Patrick Gaynor's was Glenderry school and the one in Mick Hare's field was called Ballylongane school.
