  1. August is the month for saving hay. This year the month of August was fair. It was not continually wet or it was not continually fine.
    One morning in the beginning of August the mowing machine was got and a field of hay was cut down. That night all were praying that the following day would be fine in order to save the hay. When we arose the next morning we saw that it promised to be a glorious fine day and all were busy preparing to go to the hay field.
    After breakfast my two sisters my brother and I turned the hay with rakes and after a few hours we
