    when a priest that was a friend of him walked by his side, and cut the rope that was round his neck. He jumped down from the scaffold, and his friends blocked the soldiers, and he escaped into a wood near by.
    Afterwards he sailed to America, and opened a saloon there called the "Harp and the Eagle" About a year afterwards he wrote home to the Judge that sentenced him to death, and told him he like him as much as the Devil liked Holy water.
