  1. Get one pint of skim milk and put it into a lean saucepan and on the fire. When it is well warm get about four oz of eaten meal and put it in with the milk. Leave it on fire until it is boiled keeping it stirred all the time, or it will go into curds. Take two spoonfuls of this as hot as possible before you go to bed at night and your cold will not be long going.
