  1. This is a very good cure for a cold. Get a pot of black currant jam, and get a cup and put two or three spoonfuls of this jam into the cup, and fill the cup with hot water. Take this drink when you are going to bed and your cold will be gone in the morning, but you have to stay in bed for two or three days after taking this.
