  1. (continued from previous page)
The cricket to how sharp he sings,
Puss on the hearth with velvet paws,
This wiping o'er her whisker jaws,
Through the clear stream the fishes rise,
and nimbly catch the uncautious flies.
The Glow warm numerous and bright,
Illumined the dewy dell last night,
At dusk the swallow toad was seen hopping and crawling over the green.
The whistling wind thus obeyed and in a rappid eddy played.
Through pine the air is cold and chill.
The frog has changed his yellow vest and in a russet coat is dressed.
My dog so alerted in his taste quirt mutton bones and grass defaced.
See! Yon rooks how odd their flight they imitate the gliding kite
Headlong downwards seem to fall as if they felt a piercing ball it will surely rain I see with sorrow.
