  1. There are two blacksmiths in Mostrim. My father (Peter Mc Cormack) and John Mc Glynn. My fathers family were blacksmiths for six generations. The two forges are situated in Pound street. They ar beside the road at the end of the street. The forge has a roof of galvanised iron. The door inside as the shape of a horse shoe.
    There is one fire place in the forge. The bellows is made of black leather and there is a handle connected to it which helps to kindle the fire. The bellows was made in England. The articles needed in a forge are an anvil, hammer, sledge, tongs, pokes, fire shovel, vice, compass, calipers, suages, shoring hammer, rasp, knife, clinch cutter.
    He shoes horses asses, gennets and pares cattles feet. He makes Ploughs, barrows,
