    curlew is to be seen it is a sign of wet weather. And when the lark flies high it is a sign of dry weather. If the swallow comes to Ireland early it is a sign of a very good summer. Also the cuckoo, if it comes early, is a sign of a good summer.
    If a lot of magpies are seen together it is the sign of frosty weather. If the thrush is seen about the doors, it is also the sign of frosty weather.
    If the robin or a blackbird or a willie wagtail flies into a house in the winter it is the sign of snow. If you get frost early
