- A fort.There is a fort about three miles from the village of Adare about which I hear a lot.It is said that there was a man coming from a fair in Rathkeale and he was anxious to know what the fort was like and went in. He found it surrounded by big trees. He rooted in the earth with his stick and saw something very bright. he dug deeper to find a lot of shining gold. He took some of it and returned home.Some time after he came to get some more gold, but as he entered he noticed a(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
