    Carrol began to talk about fairies and then the man on horseback rode up the side of the hill and then Carrol resolved to follow him.
    He climbed up the hill and he saw the man dismount from the horse on the summit of the hill. He tied the horse to a tree and then went out of view. Carrol went near the pony and to his amazement he saw a round hole close to him. An idea ran into his head that it might be the entrance to the fairy palace which he had heard about.
    Se he said he would try to seek admittance through this hole. He seized a large
