    Boxty Bread.
    Boxty was greatly relished by the young people. Raw potatoes were grated to a pulp squeezed dry & mixed with some boiled mashed potatoes, a little flour & salt, all kneaded by hand rolled out & baked on a well greased pan. It could also be made into dumplings & boiled.

    Rice-bread
    The wealthy farmers long ago used what they called rice-bread. They used pound the rice very fine with a big mallet and mix wheat through it. When well ground & baked it was very good & nourishing.
    Yellow bread.
    The poor people used to make yellow bread out of Indian meal and they used put an egg through it.
