- A couple of fields from my house a fine fort is still to be seen. It is on Mr Curtin's land and it is in the townland of Mogeely.
Several people have visited this fort which is now a feeding ground for the Mogeely harriers. Surrounding the fort there is a very deep trench and on the southern side of it there is a main passage.
Fairies were supposed to be seen here some years past wearing red jackets white caps and very long tassels on top of them They used be heard hammering softly and not making very much noise. The old people say music was heard in the fort.- Collector
