  1. Glantane Boys' and Girls' schools were amalgamated on 1st January 1930.
    The Principal is Thomas Coleman who was Principal of the Boys' school before the amalgamation took place. His predecessors as Principals of the Boys' school were as far as memory goes:-
    Mr Denis O'Callaghan,
    Mr Denis Downing.
    The Principal of Glantane Girls' school before amalgamation was Mrs Mary Coleman who is now Privileged Assistant in the mixed school. Her predecessors, as far as can be remembered were:-
    Mrs Ellen Barry,
    Mrs Hannah O'Callaghan,
    Mrs Mary Downing
