  1. There is a field in Baile na Mac called the blood-field. Long ago there was a battle fought there between two rival Irish clans. The slaughter was terrible and blood flowed all over the field. A priest said that the mark of that fatal battle would always be seen on the field. If you go into the field you will see a red shade on everything in it. When you go out of it you will see no red shade.
